The 3rd Accounting Research Conference (MAK), which featured valuable contributions from leading experts in the field, was held at Yağıbasan Medresesi between October 29 and November 1.
Hosted by the Department of Business Administration, the 3rd Accounting Research Conference (MAK) began with a moment of silence and the Turkish National Anthem, followed by a promotional film about Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University and a video titled “What has changed with the Republic?”
In the opening speeches, Prof. Dr. Mihriban Coşkun Arslan, Chair of the III. MAK Organizing Committee, mentioned the preparation process for the conference and Tokat's cultural values, stating her belief that the event would bring new horizons to accounting education.
Prof. Dr. Sema Polatcı, Head of the Business Administration Department, emphasized that accounting education should be approached from a multi-dimensional perspective, stating, “This conference offers a model that can serve as an example not only for the field of accounting but also for other disciplines.”
It is hoped that the final reports and publications resulting from the event will make lasting contributions to the field of accounting education and research.
