DEPARTMENT OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION

The Business Department aims to contribute to the future of our country by providing quality education to our students and training managers and staff who are constructive in solving problems and are prone to teamwork for the public and private sectors. In this department, students receive comprehensive theoretical and practical information in the fields of management-organization, production management and marketing, accounting-finance, numerical methods, and law. Master’s and doctoral programs are also offered under the Department of Business Administration.

The Department of Business Administration, which was opened in 1995 with the establishment of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, started accepting students for evening education in 2001.

Graduates of the department have the opportunity to work as inspectors, accountants, controllers, etc. in public and private sector organizations, as well as managers and professional staff in various departments of businesses, or as freelance accountants and financial advisors in the open market. In addition, the number of our students who establish their own businesses and be successful in their work is quite high.


PROGRAM  OBJECTIVES

  • To raise graduates who have internalized ethical values, have basic business knowledge (management, accounting, finance, production, marketing, law, numerical methods, etc.), and have the competencies to meet the expectations of the public and private sectors.
  • To train professional managers who evaluate the information acquired with scientific thinking methodology, have critical thinking skills, are curious about accessing new information and can adapt easily to the management approach of the future.

  • To raise entrepreneurs who can sense potential opportunities and threats, act with the aim of continuous development, are prone to teamwork, and can provide strategic directions in the relations with their internal and external stakeholders.
  • To train professionals who are not only profit-oriented but also able to consider the environmental and social impacts of business decisions and who are competent in sustainability and corporate social responsibility issues.
  • To raise graduates who can follow current trends in technology, gain the ability to develop innovative solutions, use digital tools effectively, and adapt to digitalization in the business world.
